Our Nation was founded on the principals of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This was outlined very clearly in the Declaration. But the government apparently doesn't see it that way. Despite the fact that no less than Thomas Jefferson himself declared this to be true, our oppressive government seems dead set on trampling all over our individual rights; especially when it comes to the media's war on crack cocaine.
Americans who would so willingly forget their right to smoke crack, in truth, forget their inherent "right to happiness". Our country was built on such pursuits. Were it not for our founding fathers insistence on this, 1776 could never have happened. And yet the media persists in its agenda that crack is "a killer". Never mind the fact that more people die of traffic accidents than crack each year (I'm 80% sure this is true). Why don't we make cars illegal? Crack doesn't kill people. Depression kills people.
Let's face it. America has a long standing history of being a "crack culture". The United States government can pass all the silly laws they want, they can't change the culture. Sure, all those media elites, are scared of crack and are trying to force all of us to give up our crack by federal mandate. But were they raised by crack users? Anyone who was raised by honest, God-fearing, crack smoking parents knows how to properly use crack. When you realize how to safely smoke crack, you realize how foolish it is for people to fear its spread. If the federal government really thinks it can stop crack use by making it illegal, they are truly more foolish than they look. How do you think its going to go over when the government starts going door to door, demanding that people hand over their crack. I doubt my uncle Jimmy is going to give up his rights so easy!
And what if an oppressive government should rise up? How will we escape their tyranny without the use of our crack pipes? What if Canada invades? What if the United States government collapses? These thoughts alone necessitate that the freedom of Americans to smoke crack should not be infringed. The deaths caused by crack are a necessary evil! And most of those are just gang bangers anyway, so they probably could get crack whether it was legal or not.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Obama, you get my crack when you pull it from my cold, dead fingers.
